Woodhall Spa Cottage Museum

Museum | Woodhall Spa | England | United Kingdom

The Woodhall Spa Cottage Museum is a small but charming museum located in a historic bungalow built from galvanized iron on a wooden frame. The bungalow was once the home of the Wield family, who lived there from 1887 until the 1960s. This unique location provides visitors with a deep insight into the life and history of Woodhall Spa and its surroundings.

A special highlight of the museum is the collection of photographs taken by John Wield, a passionate photographer. These photos offer a valuable glimpse into the life of the time and document the region as well as the development of Woodhall Spa. The museum is proud of its collection of toys and games from the past, which visitors can still interactively play with today.

The museum displays historical objects that reflect the development of the town and the life of the Wield family during their time in Woodhall Spa. The historical significance of the building, along with its unique collections and exhibitions, makes it an interesting destination for history enthusiasts and families. The museum is run by volunteers and is a popular center for those who want to learn more about the past of this region.

Lovely small volunteer run museum about the history of Woodhall Spa and the surrounding area. It is located in an original "flatpack" timber frame bungalow showing that what goes around comes around.
